I have been to a lot of very good dental health professionals in my 73 years, and I place the Drs. Kim–both of them–at the top. They are clear, kind, completely up-to-date in their profession, and they make one feel (as the drills begin humming) both important and comfortable. I’ve been a happy Rainier Dental patient for a few years now. They’re very easy to talk with about payment, insurance and financing options. They have friendly and gentle staff. Never have I felt like they’ve insisted on unnecessary dental work.

This was a routine visit to fill some gum border cavities. All professionally accomplished using team coordination supervised by Dr. Kim. Everything efficient and on time. There was concern about the problem in my prior visit where a trainee failed to properly irrigate after a filling, leaving a residue of phosphoric acid etch gel on the gum that caused a chemical burn lasting a week before healing. This time all staff were experienced and there were no problems. Dr. Kim was attentive to color match even for my old teeth which are the color of strong latte 🙂 I would recommend Kim & Kim to anyone looking for a friendly and competent dental practice.

My first appointment as a new patient was for a regular exam, cleaning and forward treatment plan. It was a good experience. The hygienist was competent and friendly, Dr. (Mr.) Kim was thorough in his explanation of proposed work, and scheduling and admin were efficient. My second appointment began the treatment plan with stage 1 of a crown replacement and two fillings. Dr. (Mrs.) Kim was competent and efficient. However, after the tooth was prepared by Dr. Kim, a less experienced technician was assigned to fit a temporary crown. A mistake in the process distorted the temporary crown so that it would not fit properly. The technician did not want to take my word that there was something wrong with the crown and insisted on trying to grind it to fit. Eventually Dr. (Mrs.) Kim intervened and a new temporary crown was made to fit correctly. I understand that technicians have to gain clinical experience but part of that experience should be to listen to what patients are saying.

Staff is always friendly and accommodating. They are knowledgeable and efficient. Do a great job. Thanks
