What to expect at your first appointment

Your first appointment with Dr. Jiyon Kim and Dr. Sang C. Kim will require about an hour and half. During this visit, we will take necessary digital X-rays, which minimize radiation exposure. We will also take intraoral photographs and review your current oral health status and address any concerns you have. We will provide a careful exam of your teeth and soft tissues.

We will typically also provide a professional teeth cleaning and we will be happy to offer suggestions for home care and oral hygiene tips as well.

After these steps have been completed, we will provide an evaluation that outlines your current dental problems and a proposed treatment plan to improving your oral health. Your treatment plan is developed just for you, based on your oral health needs and concerns.

At Rainier Ave Dental, our philosophy is to educate and inform our patients. We encourage open communication with all our patients. We believe it’s important that you fully understand your treatment plan and options, and that we have a complete picture of your oral health needs and concerns.
